Response to the cunliffe commission .

The Cunliffe Commission review’s purpose was to provide a ‘reset to restore public confidence in the sector and its regulation’, but it fails to address the very issues that have caused public outrage and concern. The report aims to be forward-looking but ignores the underlying drivers of the multiple crises facing the water sector.

The People’s Commission letter to the Secretary of State .

The People’s Commission has found that the £100bn figure being used by government as the cost of nationalising the water sector is ‘serious scaremongering and based on biased evidence’ (p30).

The People’s Commission on the Water Sector finds that refinancing of the water sector in public ownership will be cheaper than the current privatised system.
